Welcome to Indivisible Lincoln Square!

Creating a just society through progressive values and grassroots engagement.

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”

Barack Obama

Let’s fill ourselves with hope and get started!

Canvassing

Door to door canvassing is a tried and true way to get people to the polls. Being within one hour driving distance from the battleground states of Wisconsin and Michigan makes our efforts especially effective. A handful of votes from these states may end up being the decisive factor in keeping Trump from returning to the presidency. Training is provided and you will be paired with an experienced canvasser.

Phone and text banking

Yes, people still do answer their phones and reply to texts! These interactive calls and texts can be as effective as face-to-face interactions. They can remind people to vote, answer voting registration questions, or walk first time voters through the process. All contact is done through an online platform and your personal number is not revealed. You will be supplied with names and numbers plus a script which you can personalize. Experienced callers or texters will be available to answer questions.

Postcard writing

In a time when most people get their information on their phone or computer, something as low-tech as a handwritten card that arrives in your mailbox can break through the clutter. Writing postcards is an especially great option for remote activism. They’re also fantastic for folks who have brief windows of time to help rather than blocks of a couple hours on weekends or evenings, when door-to-door canvassing shifts and phone banks are normally scheduled.
