Take Action to Protect the Department of Education
Last week Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at eliminating the Department of Education, though he lacks the authority to unilaterally abolish a federal department established by Congress. This order instructs Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to facilitate the department's closure, setting the stage for further action while avoiding immediate legal challenges.

Help Flood DOGE with FOIA Requests
Take Action! Let's flood the newly recognized federal agency of DOGE with requests.
Simply fill out the fillable Privacy Act request form HERE, and mail it in to DOGE. This "agency" has been systematically accessing government computer data systems, and now has an obligation to respond to specific information demands from any of the 340 million U.S. citizens who exercise their legal right to defend their privacy and establish the security of their private information.

Our Representatives Need to Hear From Us
Whether we agree with their positions or don’t agree, our representatives need to hear from us.
Be sure to tell Senator Duckworth and Congressman Mike Quigley that you appreciate their no vote on the CR.
Unfortunately, Senato Durbin voted with 10 other Democrats to approve the CR.
Wisconsin In Person, Early Voting Has Started
You probably know that balance of the Wisconsin Supreme Courtis at risk. This election pits Susan Crawford, a current Wisconsin circuit court judge endorsed by all current liberal judges on the court, against Brad Shimel, a Musk-backed Republican who is currently a sitting judge. If Crawford wins, liberals will lock in their majority for at least three more years. We helped elect Janet Protasiewicz and let’s do the same for Susan Crawford.
Sign up for Wisconsin Wednesday Phonebank and/or Saturday Canvassing in Milwaukee.
Call your Senators today. Urge them to vote NO on the CR.
Both our Senators are non-committal and need to hear from us before the vote. The phone numbers for their Washington offices are below. If you cannot get through, please send a fax, either directly, if you can, or by using the link to the free fax service below. Sending an email is also possible using the links below:

Let’s prove Tom Homan correct about Chicagoans being “too educated” about immigrant rights and join ILS as we canvass businesses in the 47th ward. We will make sure they know what to do if ICE comes knocking.
We'll share materials to help guide their response in case ICE arrives at their workplace, and that they can share with their employees.
