Time to save your ash—again
Since 2021 , Heart of Lincoln Square (HOLS) conducted two highly successful volunteer campaigns to inform neighbors about the threat of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and give them an opportunity to save the street ash trees on our public parkways by donating to treat them to prevent infestation leading to their death.
Current science shows that the trees should be treated every three years to prevent EAB infestation.

Judge Delays Ruling on Special Prosecutor for “Operation Midway Blitz”—Media
A Cook County judge on May 11 delayed a ruling on whether a special prosecutor should be appointed to oversee parts of the federal “Operation Midway Blitz” investigation, extending uncertainty about who will manage portions of the probe, local media outlets reported.

The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, Indivisible Lincoln Square, and the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are partnering to support Latin immigrant-owned restaurants across Ravenswood. Through a year-long campaign and special “Spotlight Weekends,” neighbors are encouraged to dine in solidarity. Enjoy great food while supporting local businesses and entering to win gift cards.
