Show Up Chicago is a monthly community gathering/panel show/happy hour at Chicago's most highly evolved saloon. It’s a great opportunity to mix with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and talk about what’s happening, what should be happening, and how we can make it happen.
Our topic this month will be the recent budget brouhaha: What happened? Why? What does it mean for city finances going forward, and for the balance of power between mayor and City Council? Our speakers will be Matt Martin, the progressive alderman of the 47th Ward (he voted no), and Geoffrey Cubbage, senior policy analyst at the Better Government Association.
Doors open at 6, program runs 7-8:30. Free and open to all, but please register.
